How to get rid of fruit flies
Ok, so this isn't exactly an artistic creation, but it's a creation nonetheless, and I thought it might help other people out!
We've periodically had problems with fruit flies, thanks to my habit of eating a lot of fruit and always having it around the kitchen. They multiply like crazy, and sometimes it gets out of hand. They're difficult to get rid of, and I don't like the idea of killing them unnecessarily or using toxic sprays. I know you can leave out vinegar in which they'll drown, but this is another way.
Get a clear plastic container with a tight-fitting lid. put some fruit peels in the container, and place the top slightly askew. Let it sit for a few hours, then quickly slide the top onto the container. Take it outside, open the top, and let the fruit flies fly away. Repeat a few times, and the flies will be gone before you know it.
